Went down to the Wye Island WMA today to check it out. They have a self check-in procedure for bow hunting limited to 25 hunters per day. Since I live about 3 miles down the road from there it shouldn't be a problem getting there early enough.
Drove around and walked a couple trails. Didn't see any obviously good spots to set up. All the corn is still up so not a lot of open fields currently. Also most of the trees are evergreen which makes a climbing stand problematic (low limbs get in way).
Anyone ever hunt there? Any deer in there? Any good spots to suggest???
