    It's been a while since I've been interested in getting a new gun but got the clays bug again recently. Looking for a SxS, preferably an older Beretta. Everything on Gunbroker seems way overpriced. Can't really find anything decent anywhere else. Anyone have any recommendations other than keep an eye on local gun stores?

    I have a nice Browning B-SS, nice but no safe queen, 12 ga. 26" IC/M I'm getting ready to put it on our classifieds. I have to get around to taking pictures. Early model made 1972.

    You can still get good deals on gunbroker, but they are harder and harder to get. You have to watchlist all guns that start below the desired price and then track them all.

    I've found reasonable deals on GunsInternational.com

    No auctions, just For Sale postings.

    This is the way. I got a sig p365 for my wife for like 375(sold at 350) including fees taxes. Came with 2 mags and no scratches on gun.
    @doggyjacket

    Yup - I got a pair of G27 Gen4s - two different auctions for around 330 each. It certainly helped that they were .40 and the market is down on it, but they were still good deals.

    One thing I have done on Gunbroker is go to the Advanced search feature, and filter by state to find some local gems. One thing that sucks about Gunbroker is they automatically add in tax, but even add tax to the shipping.

    The Classifieds at ShotgunWorld.com have been a honey hole for used guns for me, for decades now. (Buying and selling, now that I think about it)

    But, they run a tight (and I do mean a TIGHT!) ship so, I wouldn’t procrastinate in registering an account and getting started making “50 meaningful posts”

    Thanks. I've got a few watchlists/daily searches going and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out but even the "sold" listing don't give me much hope. Plus, then there's the issue of some people wanting to be paid in only unprotected funds like certified check or money order. No thanks on that unless if it's face to face.

    I have been browning there and it seems better.

    YEAH, I find this to be BS.

    I go to equipment and lumber type auctions sometimes.

    Some double dip on the taxes/buyer's fees. Like you bid one price, they add the tax, then charge the 10% on the bid plus tax price.

    I call foul on this.

    Expand this to the category of the better specialist forums for the respective type/ brand of gun .

    Have you visited Hafer’s stores in Hagerstown and Falling Waters recently? They are absolutely loaded with inventory. It would be fun window shopping if nothing else.

    Agreed. It does take effort to scan all the classifieds, though. A WTB ad in the right place can yield results if you know what you really want.
