any AR guys on the eastern shore

Are there any guys on the easternshore that are good with ARs and could help me identify some stuff on myne? I picked up one on a STEAL! A guy that i worked with was getting out of the marine corps and was moving back to CA, he owed me 200 bucks and said that i could keep his AR if he didnt have to pay me back.

All that i know about it is that it has a dpms lower, and honestly thats all i know. Im hoping to come home for the columbus day holiday time period, are there any locals in the area of snow hill and the surounding areas?

When i first got it it cycled like complete crap, so i took it apart and and got as much of the carbon deposits off of the bolt and cleaned the bolt carrier up the best i could, then i tried to blow out the gas tube with solvent and air. It seemed to clean up decent and i havent had a malfunction in the last 50 rounds through it, but i dont know much about AR's and what i can do to myne. Thanks for any help or input guys.
