So the moly coating thread got me thinking. I looked at some articles about boron nitride having a better friction coefficent and inert properties so i might start tinkering with it in my 22-250. I wont be ordering the kit for i like to diy and foud a place that sells .5 grade for $66/lb.

question is what are you guys using and doing for a good barrel strip down and cleaning to start over fresh?

Hmmm...you have me intrigued. Would this also help in cleaning and prolonged barrel life?
Thats the theroy of it! the thing that got me thinking is this stuff goes on as a milky haze rather than graphite black. #2 its second property is nitrogeon"inert" instead of molybdnym disulfides sulfor. A quik google will tell what happens when water, sulfor and metal meet. I never thought of that when i used MOLY coated before.
