Okay here is an interesting question. The question on prior charges/convictions, at least in my mind, is a subjective question and answer when it comes to the ccw.

It is to base your moral character, but now in my thoughts that should no longer apply. You are either prohibited or not, there is no law to judge moral character, its 100% subjective. Denying the permit on a misdemeanor like the one person just asked a pbj for driving on suspended does not show a moral character problem. Or even something a little stronger like drinking in public, possession of weed, or any of the other minor charges that exist.

I’m certain these are shenanigans MD will engage in.

Doesn’t mean they are disqualifying. They can ask the question but the law is clear on disqualifying offenses. The G&S reason was the only disqualifier outside of the statutes around what criminal history defines a prohibited person from a firearm possession standpoint. Moral character isn’t a finding influencing the process nor was it ever to my understanding.
