Yes, I stopped shooting my Gamo Wildcat outdoors due to the drop from the cold weather. So now I shoot in the basement for the winter. :D

The nice thing about shooting into sand filled bottles (OJ mostly but also mouthwash, wash detergent etc) is that I get to reclaim the pellets to melt down and make balls for my 1851 and 1858 cap and ball revolvers. :party29:

I put a block of duct seal and cloth into the stock today...much better balanced feel and deadens the hollow drum sounds...also made my own sling from 550 cord. Since the swivel holes are not the size to fit traditional sling hardware, I ended up getting some 550 cord and making secure loops to attach my sling...very secure and zero noise. No plastic or metal to clink on the stock...

The AR chassis came and went out of stock. He makes like 10 at a time...selling in groups of 5. It's like playing the call in game on radio shows...100s of people calling at once...only a few selected. I will try again when he posts the next 5...but it is a very slim chance of getting one...in the mean time...I will enjoy shooting it as is.

Ask if you can send in the money now so you can be sure of getting one of the next batch.

Got my order in...even sent me a picture of his assembly station. Great guy. Now to budget out the furniture. The stocks I like are all pricey...but if I'm going in...may as well go all in a d build it the way I want it. I plan to pack the buffer tube with the duct seal for a little counter weight. Does that seem like a good idea John?...does yours feel nose heavy?

Yes, it is nose heavy even with the old CAA type butt stock I am using. I always planned on replacing it but haven't got around to it. Ductseal will help, good luck in packing that sticky stuff down the tube. You would do better using BB's or lead shot and packing foam over it. Lead shot works best as it will concentrate the weight at the furthest point aft.

One thing I have found is that it is a very ungainly rifle to carry. I always find I want to use the scope as a handle. :sad20:

Both good ideas....I have the duct seal still in it's wrapper in the original stock ...if I can't get it molded and pushed in, then I will try weights and alternating caulk layers....

I got the Bonacci kit, a skeletonized grip, lancer stock, and an M-Lol bipod. I also adjusted the hammer spring back down to the beginning, then two turns in, small adjustments till it's at 910fps...ish with 18 gr pellets. After heeding ya'lls advice about the hammer spring being too heavy....I'm getting the same velocity with a lot less turns. I will have to get some more trigger time in to see if my shot count increases...it still shoots great, and now I think it looks even better. The bipod being further back makes.shooting from a table even easier. I have to see how it feels carrying it for any length of time...but now that I have the Akela...this may get more table time than woods time.

They are still a bargain for a regulated, very accurate rifle. I added all sorts of extras to my original .25 Avenger and they all made it better. One of the best things was a larger plenum coupled with a port enlargement that really boosted the power.

They are definitely a decent rifle for the price. Mine is still running well. Was just looking the other day for .25. The lever action Seneca caught my eye....this gives me something else to read up on.

It also lists quickly changeable calibers and a hi low transfer port switch. I think it will be a while before it's available though.

You won't get a Seneca for an Avenger price. ;)
Nope, extra $220 or so at least, and not regulated....everyone of my friends that have shot the avenger say wow, I thought it would cost more ...it will never be confused with brocock, FX, (add any other high end name here) ...but they are shooters.
