For the purposes of this question: All Other Things Are Equal.

Given a 1911, in .45, with a Red dot scope, zeroed at 25yds, puts each group in the X. without fail.

Now, move the target to 50 yards.

Will the boolit drop? and if so, how much? MOA is OK, but inch is easier.

    Anybody??

here's a chart with some different .45 loads. You may want to go for a 50 yd zero if you're switching between 25 and 50 frequently. A 50 yd zero will give you less variability than the 25 between the two.

    Bullet weight?
    Ballistic coefficient?
    Velocity?
With those 3 bits of info you can get the answer within reason. Temperature, air density, and altitude will also play in but not too much to get you close.

On average, among all the .45 ammo, with a 25y sight in, all of the ammo available will fall between 1-2" below POA. The lighter bullet loads will drop about 1" while most if not all of the 200g+ loads will fall about 2" low.

*Possably what you are looking for *

Sight in for 1-1.5in high at 25yds.

With 230gr .45 Ball will be reasonably close to on at 50yd , cpl inches low @ 75 , and @ 100 aim for neck for COM impact. Similar trajectory for .38spl 158gr, 9mm 147gr..

    As opposed to full 10mm, 357 , and hot 9mm 115gr. . Same @ 25yd, basically on @75yds , cpl inches low at 100yd.

If you are interested in longer distances , a six o'clock sighting @ 25yds vs dead on , makes a big difference.

    Smokey0118..nailed the question!
Thanks for all the additional info....
All other things being equal.....looks like a 2 inch drop......

And I like the 50Yd zero suggestion, as the variation is a bit smaller when going to 25yds.
