    My instructor said that if you qualify with a semi auto the carry permit is only good a semi auto. If I wanted to carry a revolver I would have to complete another qualification course. What’s the real deal?
    No.

    The form does have a check box for semiauto or revolver. It is only germane if you are qualifying for a security carry license. Then, yes, I believe you are only allowed to carry what you qualified on.

    Your Instructor was incorrect .

    This time it's actually hard to tell if he is legitimately stupid , or if he's trolling to overcharge $$ from repeat students .

    Even IF he were correct-ish about seperate quals with Revolver and bottomfeeders , worst case would be shooting twice , once with each . Repeating entire class wouldn't have been necessary


    What about Deringers ?
