The older and bigger the pig, the more trichinosis in them. Same with bears. Give me the young ones any day.Honestly, those big ones when we got one down in Tx went to the help, we ate the younger tender ones for dinner...
Ive heard St Mary's has them. There have also been reports of them in Calvert County and out near Cumberland.

Back in the 60’s my grand dad told me many stories of the wild boars hooking and goring people and occasionally killing men caught in the open and other men having to climb trees and stay there until the boars got bored and leftWas some pot bellied pigs gone wild over in Charles a few years back.
And it was QUITE a few years ago that someone brought some back from Florida with them.
Animal control stopped it before it got started.
Yep, we were hunting feral pigs near Macon. The butcher who processed the pig told us the story how he caught Brucellosis when cut himself several years ago. His experience was really unpleasant. Please wear gloves and don't cut yourself gutting pigs.Brucellosis is an issue too.
