If you read the article, they were wanted on warrants from February where the stolen AR was recovered. The Pistol was recovered in this traffic stop. Yes, the headline sucked. It should have read....

"Criminal Justice system fails spectacularly, prohibited felons found with guns, AGAIN!!"
