Hi all looking for recommendations on what to try next on my deer gun.

Have a 350 Legend AR (faxion 18” 350 barrel). It shoots and cycles perfectly without the can. After adding the can it will not cycle consistently. I’ve tried adding a superlative arms adjustable gas block. I’ve tuned it by the instructions so the cases eject at about 2:30. But it still won’t cycle. What should I be trying next? I’ve got a standard mil spec buffer and spring. Is going heavier my next step? I’m assuming that since it cycles correctly without the can, the issue is NOT my BCG, Feedramps, magazine. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated

What is the exact issue? Failure to eject, failure to feed. I ejects but doesn't feed a new round, stove piping?

Failure to feed…about 1/2 the time the bolt strips the next round from the magazine but it then jams halfway without fully loading the next round

Stronger buffer spring and or heavier buffer. Try an enhanced buffer spring and an H2 buffer. Sprinco makes good buffer springs.

Suppressors add gas and increase bolt speed. If it cycles fine w/o the suppressor the buffer is likely bouncing off the rear of the tube and picking up the next round before its been fully lifted into place. A heavier buffer will help slow down the bolt more than a heavier buffer spring.

Since you have adjustable gas, keep turning it down until it does work. At some point, firing a single round won't lock the bolt back. Then you've gone too far and back up a little.

Since you have the AGB, try it. If it doesn't work, try an H3 buffer.

Both great suggestions in that order. Sounds to me like an over gas problem.

If one can't adjust the gas pressure and installs stronger springs etc. and it works with the can, will it still work w/o the can?

    It should.
If it is dumping brass at 2:30, it is still running on the over gassed side.
