The MARS guys do multiple matches in the area. Good matches. A couple of the people who are involved in running them are here on the boards. My search fu is weak today so I'm dry on thread links.

There are LOTS of 22LR rifle and pistol competitions around.
(This winter/spring? I have kept busy almost every weekend shooting NRL22 (at two ranges), Silhouette, Rimfire Action and Steel Challenge at various ranges from AAFG to Delmarva DSA.) The MARS season has just started in Region 2 matches.

Register on Practiscore.com and do searches on matches using "MARS" or "NRL22".
Look up gun ranges in your area and go to their websites and check their calendars.

Some of the clubs that do MARS also do the PRS rimfire series.
April 24th is a MARS match at Baltimore County Fish and Game.

I live in Cockeysville, MD.

Monocacy has weekly bullseye competitions during the spring/summer/fall as well as monthly critters or miniature metallic silhouettes and pins matches.
Year-round they have steel matches. All are for .22 Rimfire.
Guests can shoot the matches but must be accompanied by a member as their guests.

Monocacy Pistol Club is located in Frederick.

John I am interested in this as well thanks for the info. Is the AAFG calendar kept updated? I ask because in another thread it was noted there is a NRL22 match on April 10 but I do not see it on the calendar.

Unfortunately, I believe either the calendar is not working right or someone is not updating it. I plan to send an email to the President and the Chairman of the Board later today.

For 2022, AAF&G is holding NRL22 matches on the second Sunday of every month. And FWIW, Practiscore is the best place to find out about upcoming events. Those listings are placed by the Match Directors for every event. They are more up-to-date than the overall Club calendar. Moreover, Practiscore is the mechanism for scores to be distributed/published after the match.

Rimfire Action matches are held on the fourth Sunday of every month. These are 2-gun events. You'll need a rifle and a pistol, both chambered in .22 LR.

22lr Silhouette Match

Seitzland Rifle Club is only 30 minutes north of Cockeysville.
The first Sunday of the month, April through October they run a metallic silhouette match. (yes tomorrow)
Practice starts at 8 and the match starts at 9ish.
Low key, informal and fun.
1/2 scale animals. Chickens 40 meters, pigs 50 meters, turkeys 77 meters and rams at 100 meters.
There will be folks there shooting lever action rifles with iron sights and handguns with iron sights and scopes.
There is a category for just about any 22lr firearm.
Shoot for score or just for fun.

Seitzland is about 100 miles from me but the Silhouette Matches there sound fun. Maybe will try to do a couple of those too. Thanks
