What shitty writing from the AP. Littered with mistakes.

Everything that I have expertise in when it is reported in any media has glaring mistakes. People go into journalism because, like politicians, they know nothing about the real world.

House did the dirty and passed SB2 (DE HQL) sending it back to the Senate.

2 D's voted against it, Carson and Matthews, and all R's voted against.

    Original Post:

SB2 (SS1) (2023): AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 11, TITLE 24, AND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO DEADLY WEAPONS. (Out of House Committee, on Ready List 12/14/23, added HA2 to SS1 for SB2 1/4/24):tdown:
Bill Detail - Delaware General Assembly

    HA2 to SS1 for SB2 Text: https://www.legis.delaware.gov/json...=5&docTypeId=2&legislationName=HA2toSS1forSB2

There were 10 amendments brought forward. Some were duplicative/clean ups of prior amendments.

HA3 R  Failed  - Bill Text - Force them to use NICS, NLETS and FTAP (DE's Firearms Transaction Approval Program), 48 hours to decline from submission or auto approve

HA6 R  Passed  - Bill Text - Allows people with previous training (CCDW, Hunter Safety, Career, LEO, FFL, Instructors, Mil, etc) to substitute in lieu of HQL training

HA7 R  Failed  - Bill Text - Protection from Abuse Order exemption, with 180 days following to get training

HA8 R  Failed  - Bill Text - Comprehensive FOIA protections

HA9 D ~ Passed ~ - Bill Text - Requires the State to setup the Online application process

HA10 D  Passed  - Bill Text - Limited FOIA to Name/DOB/Date of Issue or Denial/Date of Training

Senate to vote today on SB2 on House amendments and bill.:tdown:

A Light Bulb Moment of maturity is to connect the dots of :

If everything they say about Topic X and Topic Y , I know to be bull crap , it's probably also bull crap about everything else they talk about .

Yesterday (3/13/2024) Senate GOP introduced 15 amendments. I'd bet all get voted down today so they can push the bill thru without going back to the House again.
