I think most of us are glad to see 2023 in the rear view mirror.
What interesting stuff did y'all pick up over the year?
For me it was a mixed bag of goofy, weird, and rare stuff as well as some more conventional items.
Goofy: two Federal Labs tear gas billy clubs that fire a 12-gauge gas shell (through ~ 38 caliber hole in the muzzle). Not sure of the vintage, probably 1950's.
Another goofy, a WW2 M-9 Hand Projector (flare gun/mortar), 1.5" / 37mm.
Both weird and rare: "last ditch" Mauser P.38 made up entirely of unnumbered armorer parts and hand-fabricated parts. If you look close, the hammer and the trigger just don't quite look right, and the slide top cover - well... let's just say it was an interesting approach
But it does the job, in fact too well since I can't figure out how to remove it and don't want to break it. Several internal parts are hand-made too.
More conventional, but still uncommon: beautiful CZ 27 post-war dated 1946.
