1911 parts polishing questions.

Hey i ordered my first 1911 a ria tactical. I would like to know if it is possible to clean the finish off and to polish it? instead of having to buy new stainless parts. Like the hammer,trigger and beaver tail. I like projects so i figured i would ask.Thanks guys.

The grip safety most likely is carbon steel and it would rust without some finish. I would think the hammer and trigger are the same.

Stupid question but why not just order the stainless version to start with?

Meh it was in stock lol. I plan on getting it cerakoted so why bother? Just curious just for the hammer beaver and trigger.
