I am thinking about replacing the magazine release with a low profile one similar to this Timber Creek. It sits next to the trigger guard and is out of the way.

Anyone use one or similar ?

It kind of depends on what this rifles use is. I’ve found the extended mag release on one of mine is right at the balance point of the rifle, meaning when I’m carrying the rifle one handed, I have a tendency to push on the mag release.

And that’s annoying when walking through the woods or hunting. Not really an applicable concern if bench shooting.

I use the one that came with my Kidd trigger. I don't think they're terribly useful unless you're really on the clock for your reloads.

I have tried so many that I'm not sure which one is on my rifle right now. None of them are perfect.

I have used a L- shaped "paddle" type for ever & am very happy with it.
    "Bannana clip magazine" optional!
