Nylon 66? Who had a bitch for a step mother that would not let you get one? Very nice none the less.

I got one of these Vortex Crossfire scopes which I think is good for 100 yards and under. The Vortex PST Gen II is a better choice for greater ranges and/or more serious shooting.

Just make sure you get an Adjustable Objective (AO) version of whatever you pick (side focus is the same thing.) Parallax is a killer at 22 shorter ranges and need to be able to adjust for it.

What do you guys think of Arken? I kinda like this. Critique???? I don’t want a busy reticle.

It was my first .22 Got it for my birtday at 13. Never tried but heard it from a good source that you never take the trigger assembly apart because they are a total nightmare to get back together.

A buddy of mine had a few different models of those and put them up for sale one time.
He kept them in the box with the paperwork and all that stuff. Loves Remington rifles of all sorts.
Anyway no one bought them and his asking price was reasonable. This was about 15 years ago, maybe more.
They go for considerably more these days so he was glad to have just kept them last time I saw him.

Shot one of my 22's today@ 50 yds. from the bench. Single shot Beezer. Made a couple ten shot groups to warm the barrel and make some sight adjustments. I used wolf 22 and some Federal 40 g lead round nose from Walmart in the 525 bulk pasteboard boxes.
Bottom right target is the final after swapping front sight element from a post to disc and opening up the rear aperture a little to get better light as the sun moved over. This a pretty decent shooting rifle with a hand stop and Parker swivels/sling for shooting prone and off hand with a little patience because of barrel weight. I fit an old Remington checkered flat steel butt plate on it for that sort of thing and took the old rubberized one off because it was crumbling apart and had chunks out of it.

So, I ended up buying an Athlon Midas HMR 2.5-15x50mm CSF 30mm AHMR SFP IR MOA Riflescope 213050. I really like the reticle, and it has very high reviews. It arrives tomorrow from Eurootics.
