“Secondary Review”

Hello everyone,

Quick question if someone could help…I submitted my HQL and Conceal to Carry on the same day (6/14/23). My Conceal to Carry license came in the mail today, but I still haven’t received my HQL license or even the email with the temporary paper license. Could someone tell me what does “Secondary Review Complete” means, because the status says “Incomplete?” Im confused…..

For HQL Secondary Review is normal. I would recommend not fretting and just waiting.

One thing to think about: Looks like you applied for a HQL back on 14JUN? It is now 09AUG. Seems like a while? Did you call MSP to get a status check?

I don't think they semd out actual cards anymore, just an email. You should have had that a month ago

They dont send cards anymore. Just an email with a PDF picture of the license. You should call looks like something fell through the cracks

OP, did you take a training course for your HQL, or did you go the exempt route via a previously owned handgun?
