I have 3 AR’s, 2 of which I was planning to sell, that my father and I used to use for shooting Highpower some 20+ years ago.
When trying to figure out what to ask for them I realized that the competition went over to optics around 2016.
So the rifles I have are obsolete I suppose. I can’t imagine someone wanting to compete against optics using irons, unless there is an irons class….
I have considered perhaps donating them to a club for a junior program but would that be helping any juniors? I mean started in a junior program with borrowed equipment and while it wasn’t top of the line - it was at least competitive….
I doubt I will go back to competing in the next 10-15 years and I hate to carve up these AR’s for their lowers and parts - as they are well made… at least one upper is a white oak…
What to do with these rifles? I guess they could continue to collect dust…
Thanks for reading and for any helpful thoughts/ideas.
