Cleaning a neglected SVT-40 questions
I just purchased an SVT-40 (got it at a great price) and it appears to be packed with a black grease. Additionally there is a sticky yellowish substance on the bolt. Cleaning Recommendations
Since I was a kid shooting my dad's Remington 870 Wingmaster, we used Hoppe's solvent and Rem Oil. Now that I have nice (expensive) weapons like AR carbines and HK pistols I feel like an amateur using a $15 cleaning kit and patches from Wal Mart, or paper towels... So I have a couple questions... -
