Hey Guys here are the results from this weekend.

I've got lots more to talk about and will get to that a little later.

Jason sent me the results from the RTB match and I'm trying to figure out how to attach them,I'll have it figured out soon.

We also have to talk about the Regionals coming up July 16-18th.

    More to come.

Oh, and it would be interesting to see the model of rifle that everyone was using, and the caliber as well for those outside of Restricted. I understand if the logistics of doing that are too much, though.

And as for the Remembering the Brave scores, is that for all the events, or do you just have the F-class results?

I'd be happy if you reformatted my name so it was spelled correctly if the score was higher...

Well, my score is 4 points higher than what I have written on my score sheet, but whatever, I'll take it. :D

According to original thread I think
    1. Scott Litton 472-6x
    20. Corey Gajenski 431 2x
    were also using 5R.

    BTW, my parner
    3. Mike Scherr 466-6x
    was shooting M700 Custom .300WM

Shame I missed this one. Had my German final today and was in PA hunting groundhogs saturday. If I had asked to go shoot F-class Sunday I believe I wouldn't be typing this :D

Ah well, school's out and I'll be out there every time it's open for the next 6weeks :party29:

    Jim,

Next match is going to be run along with the NRA hi-power on the 27th.

Changed my original post to correct a couple names.

Wow that maybe my wost score ever guess thats what ya get when you have two 6's at the 1K line. Cool to see two fellow 5R shooters on the top of the list, I always felt the gun shoots better then me, even with my cheap $300 Nikon Scope. List used to have the caliber as well which I always found interesting.

Has anyone ever been competitive with a .223? Just curious.

I'm also curious. That tiny bullet all that way. In theory, a well loaded hvy VLD or AMAX will get there still sonic. I have a bunch of 75 and 80gr AMAXs that are just begging to try. I wish I had a rifle to be involved in the F-class, but all I've got is .224...

I've got a gun being built right now that's going to be a Long Range .223. I fully expect it to be competitive at 1000 (at least, as a Palma rifle). I imagine there will be more giving it a go since it's now legal for US Palma matches. I hope to have mine in hand for the LR match on the 26/27th. I'll let you know how it goes. (Assuming I get to shoot it then)

There's a bunch of good info here: (registration required, and well worth it)

There are some 90 grain plus .223's that would seem to be perfect for this, but I imagine you need to build a specialized rifle that would pretty much only shoot that ammo.
