    So this showed up today....

I forsee a dangerous, dangerous problem developing. I thought that I'd identified M57s as my cocaine, but I think I just may have found my heroin....

It's got a couple of blemishes on the front left of the slide, a few little scratches here and there, the barrel doesn't match, and the grips are currently getting 60 years of gunk gently removed from them (hence the hogue grip in the pictures...), but not too shabby for a '52-'53 FN Hi Power...

I hear ya... I bought my FN Hi-Power when the stuff was hitting the fan. I love mine, I'm sure you will love yours. Every time I hold it I'm still surprised how small it is - and every time I shoot it I'm surprised how soft it shoots.

    Nice pick up!

Late finding this thread but IMHO the HP is one of the best C&R purchases out there today. There are plenty of nice post war Belgian built examples selling for reasonable prices just like this one.

    What are "reasonable prices"?

For me? The $320 and $415 I spent on Saturday for two more FNs on GB as a knee-jerk reaction to somd_mustangs Hi-Power thread featuring his disgustingly beautiful Hi-Powers.

GunBroker and Cole's Distributing will be the death of me. Seriously. If another Hi-Power shows up at the house, my wife will shoot me in the face until I am dead from it.

    sorry, man :innocent0
    they're addictive...

Yours looks really nice with crisp markings and nice finish. Get those original grips back on it and shoot some follow-up pics... love to see it in the natural.

So the $415 got here today....it was $415 because it was refinished: it'd been park'd.

Look at all of my DON'T CARE....because, I mean, look at it....LOOK AT IT:

(Yes, I know my pics are shite....trust me. It looks as good as circa 1999 Britney Spears. I would possibly consider having sexual relations with this gun....that's how good it looks.)

Edit: A couple more without stupid blinds lines:
