You can shoot slugs, bird shot, buck shot, game loads, salt, or whatever the heck you want out of your shotgun on the Barnes Range. All range rules apply. Slugs and buck should hit the impact berm. Please don't let anything hit a neighbor's target or frame.

Thank you for that clarification. I shall bring my shotguns to the (Barnes) range more often now.

Felt like a whipped stepchild thinking that I was relegated ONLY to the shotgun patterning area with them... previously

Do you have to put up a target when shooting your shotgun on the Barnes range? Or, can you just put rounds down range into the berm?

You do not have to post a target, you can simply fire into the berm. We used to have an armorer bring refurbished rifles to the range for testing and he never posted a target, he simply fired into the berm to make sure the rifle functioned well.
