How about some real dirty Glock porn?

A buddy and I were shooting up at S. Lancaster and he made a somewhat sarcastic comment about everyone always saying how reliable Glocks were. I proceeded to throw in a loaded mag, open the slide, and drop my 19 into the mud. Shook it off and closed the slide. It went bang 15 times in a row albeit the trigger felt like it was 20 pounds.

I don't normally abuse my gear like this, but I was curious.

Cleaned it off with a boatload of WD-40 (yes, I detail stripped to clean out and dry the firing pin channel) when I got home.

Sorry for the crappy pics, only had my camera phone at the time.

    Nate you rock brother :party29:

I don't know anyone who would throw their sh*t in the mud but goes to show that Glocks rock.

    thanks for the range report:thumbsup:

It was one of those times where all I could respond with was "well I read on the internet..." So I figured what the hell let's see what happens. Frankly I am that much more confident in my gear now that I have done it firsthand.

We repeated that process a total of three times and the results were all the same, the gun went bang and there was a hole in the target. My buddy was part of the good ole US Infantry in the past and he certainly appreciated a piece of gear that could take that kind of abuse and still function as intended. Of course we did shake off the pistol before firing to ensure there wasn't any mud or water in the barrel, but that was the full extent of our field maintenance.

Cleaning the mag was an even bigger chore than the pistol itself, I always feel like I'm going to break something when I take off the floorplate.

Nice Glock collection Jeep. I'm hoping to add a g26 to round out my 9mm Glock collection before my Florida CCW permit comes back.
