    Surprising slant in a Gannet (USA Today) owned publication.

    Women who own guns in the First State don’t often make the front page of newspapers like the white men toting AR-15s in front of Legislative Hall did earlier this year. They can be a quiet minority equally worried about their children’s safety and their right to bear arms.

    The same goes for nearly a dozen women who shared with The News Journal why they shoot or carry firearms as the debate rages across the country about gun control and Second Amendment rights. We profile four of them here.
