Do these fall victim to over gassing? I have a Gemtech dedicated .223/5.56 can and am wondering if there are any issues with this before I consider buying.
Any personal experience is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

FYI accuracy systems sells adjustable gas blocks.
You can also get just bushings for a lot less $. Not as convenient if putting a suppressor on/off though. Helpful for any regular 14 though.

An OSS suppressor would work well on the 14. I put one on a HK and its great. Almost zero cyclic rate increase and nearly zero gas in the face.

Thanks for all the replies. The only .223/5.56 hosts I’ve used is a bolt and multiple AR’s. I didn’t THINK there would be any issue but...you know...don’t want to make and ass out of you and me

I was going to say if you want to bring it to the AGC you can try your suppressor on my Mini14, then I realized your locator is in NC. Offer still stands though.

I run an aac m4-2000 on a ruger ac556k( factory select fire version of the mini 14)

It’s not as bad as what people would assume. The brass does eject into low orbit. But that’s a good thing in terms of reliability. It’s also not as gassy.

A mini-14, overgassed. :lol2: :lol2: What would that even mean, the brass flies to the next state instead of the next county?

FYI accuracy systems sells adjustable gas blocks.

A mini-14 with a can would be an orbital brass launcher

You guys are cracking me up. I had a mini 14 ranch and I don’t recall how far it was flinging brass but my sks on the other hand sends them out pretty far. I could only imagine with a can on it.
