    Okay.... Who was it?

On Monday, November 26, 2018 at approximately 10:15 p.m., police fire and rescue personnel responded to Lady Baltimore Avenue, in Leonardtown for the reported shooting.

Dispatchers advised responding units that the victim, a 52-year old male, was shot in the chest with a crossbow.

The shooting was reportedly accidental, however police are investigating.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene at the residence and found the front door locked, firefighters forced entry to find the patient on the ground. He was reported to be conscious and breathing at the time.

Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 7 flew the single patient to an area trauma center with serious injuries.

I am still trying to figure out how a lone guy got shot in the chest with a crossbow.

Was it any where close to the Archer Street intersection?

Incorrectly trying to load it backwards maybe? Like with the butt on the ground and the bow facing up?

That's the only way I can figure it.

    That's what I was thinking.

I was skeet shooting with friends at Loch Raven and a guy there shot himself in the hand with his shotgun. All we could come up with was he slammed the stock on the ground with his hand over the muzzle and it discharged.

Made an account just to post this.

My coworker knows the man, it wasn't accidental.

Attempted suicide. This is apparently his second time attempting as well...

I'm more afraid of my crossbow than my guns.
I'm guessing this guy shot himself with a field point because I'm pretty sure a broadhead through the chest would end things pretty quickly.
I hope he finds whatever help he needs.
