    Does anyone have this lever gun in .308 or .338 I would like some thoughts on either. I think .308 is plenty for deer but wonder what kind of recoil the.338 has.

    Wow they make lever gun in .338? Is it a new cartridge? It can't be .338 winmag. I'm gueesing it's a smaller round built for lever guns. Recoil is probably less than a 45-70. For a close quarters hunting rifle I'd take the .338. I've been wanting to build a 338-06 for hunting since I can remember reading about that cartridge over a decade ago.
