Mmm hmmmm. You don't say.

Tuesday, Dick's said it was surprised by the "outpouring of support" for its new gun policies but also said that some customers were choosing to shop elsewhere.

"Some of those customers that buy firearms, buy other things also," Dick's Chief Executive Edward Stack told analysts on a conference call. "There are just going to be some people who just don't shop us anymore for anything."

Dick's said its hunting business posted negative comparable-store sales and expects the challenges to continue this year, with its new gun policies being an additional burden.

Saw somewhere that Cabela's is NOT jumping on the band wagon to deny sales to the under 21 crowd. They said it is because they aren't DICKs :innocent0

Had to post this. Looking thru this weeks’ Dicks flyer (curiosity got me), and shortly before spring turkey season there are ZERO hunting or shooting items in the flyer. There used to always be at least one shotgun or 10/22, or 9mm pistol ammo box on sale. ZERO in this one.

Secondly, look what I did find - Under Armour ”FREEDOM” tees??? And “MOLON LABE” to boot??? Really? How the fark do they think that “freedom” is obtained and maintained, by running 5k every day, playing JV lacrosse, or doing yoga? They dishonored the “Molon Labe” slogan IMMENSELY and recently slap the shit outta “Freedom” by their very actions? And they dare to still sell these at the store? I wonder if this was just a stupid ad agency oversight, or an intentional jab at all of us. I’m thinking it’s the latter.

I don't understand why more 18-20 year olds, here in MD, aren't filing lawsuits against dick's for age discrimination over their 2A rights.

Hypocritical I know, but the margin on Tees are very high, so they will continue to sell them. Just make it a point not to patronize their establishment.

Ummm...

Dicks Sporting Goods has not been selling AR-15 type rifles since after Sandy Hook happened in 2012. However, a subsidiary (?) of Dicks, Field And Stream Stores has been selling the rifles. Until now. Wal-Mart has not been selling AR type rifles since 2015. And Wal-Mart has been phasing firearms out from stores that were not in more "rural" areas for years. (The store in Laurel does not have guns, but one near Glen Burnie does?) So there isn't anything new about that. I will probably get flamed for this, but isn't 8 pages enough? Just askin'...
