Sig Sauer P226 9mm - Very Rare West German Factory Nickel Finish - mfg.1989 -- $1400.00 **Good for Sale 02/02/2018**
This will be a GunBroker item, I will post the link in the thread in two weeks when the auction goes live. If you are an MD resident and win the auction, please be aware that the gun will not come with the matching 15 round nickel magazine unless you are LE.
From the seller: This pistol slide is marked "MADE IN WEST GERMANY." This gun has 3 proof marks.
This 226 was built and assembled at Sauer & Sohn's facility in Eckernforde, W Germany. After assembly, the gun was proofed in Kiel (Kiel coat of arms), West Germany.The 2nd West German proof mark is the Definitive Proof Mark "N" (Nitro) with the Eagle. This signifies the gun "Passed" and was issued the “nitro” proof mark. The last West German definitive proof mark is the date code. This Sig definitive proof mark code is "JK." JK signifies 1989. "J" being 8 and K being 9.
Barrel is proofed as well and serial numbers match. The finish on this gun is nothing like I have seen before. I find no traces of this gun being refinished after it was built. Absolutely gorgeous.

was $450 the original price or is that the reduced price?
