Frank Beltrame

Had some experience for the first time with a Frank Beltrame switchblade.

9 inch stiletto.

While the craftsmanship is undeniable and the lock up as tight as any of the best folders I've encountered, the blade was as dull as a butter knife and the point about as pointy as a sharpened pencil.

The blade on my Kershaw Link is vastly superior.

But nonetheless, it is definitely a classic for sure.

None of the Italian stilettos are sharp. They're not made for cutting work, but for stabbing. The steel is most likely 400 series stainless.

Not a fan of FB, great marketing but poor craftsmanship with insufficient materials.

Found an AKC leverletto for a little bit more and it is stunning.

AKC leverlocks are good quality for reasonable money.

Hard to find but the AKC gravity blades are nicely made though the steel IS pretty ho-hum.
