You don’t need to do anything as far as I know.
Personally, I wouldn’t tell them a damn thing
That's kind of what I was thinking. When they finally use those lists to round up firearms, you will be long gone.

Apoligies if this has been asked, I seen many posts about moving into Maryland, but none about moving out of Maryland.
I will be doing just that shortly, to a state which does not infringe on our 2A rights. That being said, is there a process that I reach out to the MSP and tell them I am will no longer be at my home address associated with my HQL?
It is enraging enough that the MSP has a controlled firearm (pistols etc) registration. I will obviously be taking my firearms, and would ideally like to be removed from the registration database.
Thank you in advance for your input!

I moved to Tennessee in 2019. There is good advice on this thread. When I got here, I asked a state cop about registering my firearms (not necessary) and concealed carry (easy to obtain permit for for both concealed and open carry) and he gave me good advice on local gun shops and ranges. I thanked him and he said, "You're a Tennessee resident now. We work for you." It made me miss Maryland not at all.
Same. I'm looking at about 4-5 years before I can get serious about thinking toward doing a soft-retirement elsewhere. I don't quite know where were going to target for a place to retire to though. Northern NC is high on the list - a bit warmer but still have seasons, but I've also toyed with TN, and maybe even FL - the missus thinks FL will be too hot.Im less than a decade from retirement. Im heading out the door on retirment day. Current circumstances don't allow for a faster retreat.

I am moving to NC in August for grad school. I will be changing residence and not planning on returning to MD. I am pretty sure I am all good based on what I read online, but maybe a member who is more familiar with NC laws can educate me on if there are any firearms I can own in MD that I cannot own (or bring into) in NC? Anything I need to do once I get there?
