Does anyone wait for the daily ammo to be brought out as in years past? I am surprised that I haven't seen a discussion about availability given the current supply situation.

I had suggested to two Walmart management to stock ammo at random times so the scalpers wouldn’t lineup every morning awaiting stocking. I would have gotten the same response from talking to a brick wall.
Oh, I just saw it......brick wall - WalMart..

Early on I would occasionally spot some ammo at Walmart and Dicks, but not lately.
Last few times I walked by the walmart shelves are bare, and Dicks's prices are too high for the limited items that they had. Machinegun nest has some 9mm for renters to shoot there and 45acp to buy outright, and no 380.
There is no shortage of ammo being offered online in auctions, which get bid up pretty quickly. I have not gone to the range in ~ a year, even though I have ammo, but since I can not replace what I shoot I don't. Eventually I'll start going back but will try to use up only some of my 22s first. If enough folks cut back on their purchases, ammo will become available and prices should fall from the current high$.

I look only when I"m already in the store.
Mostly for 22 or Trap loads which I have seen neither in many months.

I don't think Walmart is getting much flow anyway.

You would have to be crazy to wait in line at any Walmart to be first one there. I have three Walmart stores close to me. They only get bits and pieces of ammo in small lots maybe once a week. Most likely once every two weeks. I am usually out on weekends and will stop then in my travels. I have made several buys this past month. Mostly Federal and CCI 22 and 22 Magnum. Usually about 10 boxes of shotgun shells come in with it. I was at the Carroll Island store yesterday and only a bunch of 12 gauge 100 round boxes. I got two of them. Member above said they had 22 Magnum today. I was there looking for pellets and they had No pellets at all. Two weeks ago they had about 20 Boxes of Federal 30/30. I bought two and immediately posted on here on the ammo spotting thread. Not sure if anyone seen it or was able to get any. Seemed guys came and looked and left. Many dont want rifle hunting ammo. Was only $18 a box. Yeah Walmarts are sporadic and dont get ammo but maybe once a week if that.
