My randomly generated number came out above 18,000. Looks like I'm going to be waiting for a while....

Yes some have been returned for the following reasons or so they said:

    1. It is not a collector 1911, just a mixmaster worth about $400.00 according to his master gunsmith (this was a 95% complete 1945 Colt, slide lock and safety was wrong).
    2. It is a 1911a1 not a 1911 and they only wanted a correct WWI pistol.
    3. Wanted a Singer not a Colt
    4. Had been repark'd
    5. Something was wrong with the pistol as it "kicked" to hard.(??????)
    6. Friend paid half as much for a Kimber.
    Amazing.

I haven’t even taken mine out of the case since I got it back from pickup at Baltimore’s Best Pawn, but I’m pretty happy with my mixmaster, WWII, re-park’d, presumably-gonna-be-hard-kicking, non-collector, POS.:lol2:

The truth most probably is their wives made them send them back and they had to make something up so they didn't loose their Man Card.

    mine came in...

I got a field grade.....looks like a fresh arsenal rebuild with one scratch (not a minor scratch though). Not a complaint just a note. It is a field grade....and looks like it hasn't been shot since rebuild. Feed ramp parked, no scuffs.

What was your RGN and what grades were you offered? My RGN is just under 8500 so I am hoping they get a lot of returns.

my number was high 6900's. They had all three grades. Didn't feel comfortable choosing a rack grade but I had heard the field grades were looking good so I took a chance...

That scratch would really bother me! I would have to take it to the range for some 230gr punishment!:party29:

fyi.....they are calling and shipping to numbers in the low 8000's (8300?)

There was a theory they started numbering at 1000 so people with up to low 9000 may be good...

Geez, that poor Remington UMC is a mess.
    The 1913 mfg isn't much better :(
I'm perplexed by the C-prefix 1948 mfg that's parkerized... it's a commercial Government Model (not a 1911-A1 as listed) with several arsenal rework stamps.
Nevertheless I bet they all sell for stupid big money.
