I get why the reciever, pistol and SBR configurations are MD legal. Can you explain why the rifle would be?
Not a AK - 47, it is receiver for AK-74. My earlier message is direct pull from Maryland State Police web site. Not banned.See post #3 for the explanation. It is for an AK74(not banned) not an AK47(banned).

Maryland State Police reviewed weapon AK-74 and determined "not banned" and listed as such on their web site that evaluates rifles. All that would matter to me for transfer.What is "Avtomat Kalashnikov semiautomatic rifle in any format" referring to?

Don't see either as being evaluated by MSP. Both are select fire from what I have seen. If only that variant available then NFA covered weapon.If AK74s aren't banned would a Tantal or a Beryl Archer in 5.45 be AK74s or what?
