No you're definitely not the only one.

I have a P09, with only 150 rds through it. I like it but don't...and its just for the reason you stated...grip comfort. Unlike my P01 which feels extremely comfortable when I shoot. Maybe I'll try adjusting the back strap to see if that makes a difference.

I will say that my HK VP9SK replaced the P01 as my bedside go-to!

Interesting parallel. My VP9SK has also become my go-to nightstand pistol, too, but I like to rotate between a Walther PPQ 45 and a CZ 75 Compact every now and then.

So I ran 150 thru the new VP9 on Sunday afternoon and no surprise, it ran flawlessly with everything from Winchester White Box 115gr FMJ to Fiocchi 147gr FMJ.

    Sellier & Bellot 124gr FMJ, 25 rounds, 10 yards

As usual, the star performer was the S&B 124gr FMJ, like it is in most of my 9mm pistols. The one extremely low shot on that target was courtesy of the shooter in the adjacent lane, doing close range rapid fire drills with his Glock. At least he confessed and apologized. LOL

As far as the VP9 itself goes, I can't find anything much to criticize. All the things supposedly 'controversial' about the VP9 I seem to be OK with. The paddle magazine release is easy to master. Of course, I've had some practice with the VP9SK during the past few months but, because of the VP9's slightly larger frame, I found it even easier to operate with either the middle or index finger of my shooting hand. The little charging tabs at the back of the slide? Yeah, I like them too. It definitely makes the slide of the VP9 easier to rack and that's always a good thing.

Sorry, that's about all I got. No earth shattering revelations here. Go get one! You'll be glad you did!

I definitely need to get more range time in with my SK. Haven't been able to find time. I have a little more than a 100 rds through it since getting it OCT18.

I may try the S&B 124gr FMJ. I usually buy the 9mm Aluminum value pack from Walmart since its relatively inexpensive.

    Nice family pic!

..this is an HK forum, I know..but the CZ P-10 S is out...how will that compare to the HK9SK?

Thanks! I know I'm not the only one anxiously waiting to see how the US-built P-10S stands-up against the VP9SK, Walther PPQ-SC, Sig P365 and all the other 9mm subcompacts out there. I think it'll be fine and appeal mainly to fans of the P-10C.

As I understand it, the P-10S and P-10F will be built in Kansas City. Let's hope CZ has better luck, initially, than Sig-Sauer did with building guns outside of their main manufacturing facility.

Well, it's hard to get out to the range this time of year unless you enjoy shooting indoors, which I don't particularly but will when I get stir crazy enough. 124 grain FMJ seems to always shoot closer to POA (for me) than either 115 or 147. Online is your best and cheapest bet, especially when they'll ship it free.

It's going to keep gnawing at ya until you do. The green meany wants to eat!

    VP9Sk Holster

Picked up a nice IWB holster for VP9SK, if only I could use it in MD. Its from Alien Gear. Bought one for CZ P01 too.

Finally got my VP9L slide kit in. The fit and finish is top notch just as you would expect from HK. The barrel actually locks up so tight that you need to push down on the chamber just to get it out of the slide. I just barely made the first 100.

That looks great! Be sure to post-up a range report when you have a chance?

Is there still love for the MK23 or has that ship sailed to the next shiny object?

I still love the Mark 23 I just can’t afford one.

I picked up a P30 LEM and a USP45 at the end of June to get my HK fix instead.

SK officially put into action, sorry 9c, you have been by my side for many years now but now it’s time to be retired to camper duty.

Anyone have experience with the HK VP40? How is it compared to other .40 caliber handguns?
I like mine. Good ergos, actually very good ergos. I’ve only range shot it, no action pistol shooting of any sort so nothing to report on that front. It’s not as snappy as other fotays I’ve shot, maybe grip angle helps with that (?). I’m looking forward to doing more with it, away from the static ranges, but so far it doesn’t disappoint. BTW, I do really like the two ear tabs on the rear for slide racking, really easy to use as opposed to just standard slide serrations.

Oh, and the trigger is really good too. I think of all my striker fired pistols only the Walther Q5 Match trigger is noticeably better.
