Mossberg 715P - experiences?

Anyone have some experience with the mossy 715P?

My local gun store just got some of these in their wv location.

Aside from my not being able to buy with the 25 round mag, any drawbacks?

Considering that vs Ruger Mk Iv tactical 40149

No rugers to be seen up here, so if anyone knows where, give me an idea

Thanks!

No experience. What's the weight of one of those things?

I’m going to head down Tuesday and get a look in person.

Still want to see the Ruger tactical 22/24. Got to find one first.

Subbed as the Rural King down here was ad’ing those things in back-to-back monthly newspaper flyers and with a NC HQL cash n carry for me w nics check ... unfortunately, I was steered off by memories of some horrendous products I’ve seen w Mossberg’s name on them since corporate raiders have sieved what seems like nearly all US f’arms mfrs (one that comes to mind immediately is a friends Mossberg handgun safe that would keep your gun quicker than Moms Demand Action).

Curious now about their reliability, etc.

Can’t have enough travel / hotel guns these days ....

I owned one. It's a decent plinkster. Just keep it very clean.

A relative of mine has the rifle version. Plinkster guts sandwiched between a plastic airsoft body with a bunch of screws holding it together. They loved it at first, because it looks like an AR15, until time to clean it. Then tried to pawn it off on me. I declined.
