That kid's sort of an idiot but the concept is sound. Weren't these made in the Phillipines at one point? I seem to recall a commercial attempt but of course not many guys really wanted one.
I'm fond of the old single-shot shotguns. They're light, they swing well and they're dirt cheap, unlike most old doubles. Lots of fun and sort of interesting - hopefully I won't collect too many.
Of course, if you're just trying to kill an enemy soldier and take his rifle, a slam-fire shotgun would do it.
He popped up in my recommended feed a few weeks ago. In a last resort situation I'd rather try making my own arrows and spears. With what he's using, he's a Darwin Award waiting to happen.
