Let me know if you do, have some questions for you. Looking to get permission to hunt there(I'm a military contractor on base).

Thanks for the URL. I'll look it over and ask any questions I may have. BTW do you know if hunting is going to happen this year given base is restricted to essential personel?

So Rox I'm going over all of this one thing it says nothing about is the exact areas your confined to hunting on APG/Edgewood.
Also you have any idea whether they allow guns calibered for straight wall cartridges? Maryland approved hunting with them this year. |

Yes, hunting is going on this year.
There are different hunting areas all around both APG and Edgewood. Basically you look at a map of the open areas, put in for a couple places you'd like to try to hunt and then they draw for which spot you get. Some spots are really popular, others not so much so easier to get. As stated elsewhere, you have to hunt with a partner. Not sure regarding rifle cartridges. APG has their own specific regulations. I mostly how hunted. Gun hunting is limited to certain areas with specific shooting zones. |

In order to use your contractor employment you have to work for a Prime contractor who has a contract direct with APG. A subcontractor does not qualify, you may be able to be sponsored on by whatever Prime you work for. APG no longer issues the 1602 ID cards. Up to this year you had to have an access badge for behind the fence - they changed things a bit this year and I do not know if its still required as you could be escorted by whatever HIC you are hunting with.Best bet would be stop by the deer shack & ask there.

Yes, no solo hunting. The best thing you can do is find someone that is currently actively hunting there and see if you can partner with them. I am not, FYI.
