I gave all my VHS except for a handful of things I had to keep.

I too have it on VHS and on Reel to Reel with captions (In-Laws are Deaf and they purchased it decades ago.) I had the same thoughts about their worth and Disney's admission. I always thought of posting it online, sitting back and watching cancel culture take over.

Fortunately for us, as it turns out. Since Disney never released it, copyright for the film has expired as of 2020 in Japan. It's in the public domain in Japan. Thanks to the Internet, that means you can watch/download your own copy.

If Disney continues to not release this, it will be public domain in the US in 2039 I believe.

Decided to keep them. I just can't part with the Shogun Assassin, the wife will jusr have to jkeep dusting around it.
