I can tell you this, I hope someone viable runs against Schuh. From where I stand, Steve Schuh is awful - he's certainly been no friend to AA County school teachers, or the schools in general.

Funny you mention that, his right hand man Michelle Corcadell is running for the board of education so some research in that respect may be warranted, she was out to our farm last week, between her and two other women talking I could not get a word in ... at all. They are currently trying to push the AACO infrastructure improvement agenda.

If you are reading this on MDShooters.com, he's no friend.

    http://www.capitalgazette.com/opinion/columns/ac-ce-column-pittman-20180807-story.html

We have 60 commissions and boards in this county tasked with recommending solutions to county problems. None is confronting the issue of gun violence. That will change when I am elected.

Our Gun Violence Task Force will include gun owners, gun safety instructors, public safety officers, victims, mental health providers, and attorneys. It will monitor implementation of our state’s current gun safety laws, including our new red flag law, and recommend legislation to our county’s delegation to the Maryland General Assembly that would improve those laws.

The greatest obstacle to success in this endeavor is politics. When politicians make statements like, “The only reason we are free today is because we are armed,” or that the Second Amendment is about, “the ever-present danger of tyrannical government,” our efforts to come together around common-sense restrictions on gun ownership become very difficult.

These quotes came from County Executive Steve Schuh’s speech on the floor of the Maryland General Assembly in opposition to the Firearms Safety Act of 2013. That bill limited the sale of military-style assault weapons in Maryland.

Our job as public servants is to solve problems. Solutions aren’t always in the form of new laws, and they don’t always cost money. But they always involve bringing people together.

    I will do that.

Oh, and your taxes are too low.

He is the latest generation of the family that owns Dodon Farm, in Davidsonville, which dates from the mid-1600's. He is also president of the Retired Racehorse Project. I only know him as an excellent horseman and trainer, but wish he would stick to that. Based on what I have seen and heard since he got into the race, he's your typical loony libtard.

The looney tree huggers that live next door to me had his sign out. They also put one out for Busch. Thing is, they moved to the country from the city and want to change everything. I guess they really hate it on Sunday's when they have machine gun shoots on my other neighbors property. :party29:

Yep voting Schuh. Low taxes and seems 2A friendly, or least friendlier than any democrat ever could be. People who vote dem should stay in the counties they’ve already ruined, leave AA alone.

Schuh is a twit who has ****ed the teachers in the county six ways from Sunday. I may have to vote for "none of the above," but that steaming pile will never get another vote from me, no matter whether he seems 2A friendly or not.

Gotta love this, for Teacher Appreciation Week, he was all like, "hey teachers, go eat at Green Turtle and get a discount LOLZ!"

Yeah - he OWNS the Green Turtle. So, the message is, "hey teachers, I don't think you should get paid what you're worth, but come support my business, spend money I don't think you should have, and put more money in MY pocket."

    No thanks.

DON'T Blame your neighbors, most politicians are shameless and don't take no for an answer, worst than the phone calls selling you staff you don't need or want., they may have forced them to post their signs on their lawn...You can expect kindness from your neighbor even though they may have some other political ideas, but you will never get a fair shake or kindness from ANY POLITICIAN unless you are a lobbyist...
Both major political parties are corrupt, that is the nature of large political parties, lets not forget the largest most corrupt Communist Party.
We are lucky that the founding father lay a good system, but for sure the one or two party system is bound to be flawed. TERM limits will be the only way to fix things. George Washington knew this early on, wise man!!!

Ugh, why?!? He does a good job promoting Off Track Thoroughbreds for sport, and has created a successful competition in the Retired Racehorse Project but that's where he needs to stay.

I love having an NRA sticker on my horse trailer and seeing people's heads explode when I go down that way.

I get you don’t like him, and yeah that’s pretty bad on the teacher front. However, I can’t vote in a way that benefits an anti 2A Democrat, which is basically every Democrat.

You do you though, not telling you how to vote; just clarifying why I can’t go down that road.

Question - does a county executive have any real clout to shift anything related to firearms in the county? Again, I likely won't vote for Pittman, but I also won't vote for Schuh.

If Pittman plans to form a task force and organize people, even if around a state or federal issue, that carries over to the state and federal politicians' platforms and organizations.

Essentially he's saying he'll be a gun violence community organizer, if I read it right.

I fully intend to be wearing an NRA hat or shirt the next time I'm at Dodon. I wonder what kind of reaction I'm going to get...
