get a chub for chubbies? Well, it is the month for it. lol. Thanks, my friend. Good to see you and the wife again recently.

    You too, my friend.

I'm sure there are great places to eat actually in the town of Gettysburg. For us, it's so far away that we never really seem to have the time (or energy) to explore. We learned about Chubbies from this forum. The food is really good...but you have to understand that it is kinda greasy BBQ (not knocking it, just a fact), and...that can make for a sometimes stressful ride home:innocent0

Good show but I'll have to pass. Going to the 30th Annual WWII Ground & Air Show at Reading Airport (30th should have been last year but you know why). Put on by the Mid Atlantic Air Museum.

How is the air show these days? We used to go from the 60's through the 80's and they were great. Is it worth paying for a hotel for a night?

Mrs. & I went, wasn’t a bad show considering everything. Even the Mrs found a thing or two. Ok mag prices at some tables, some powder around. 80 stuff priced all over the map. Guy in front of me at a table got the last 1lb of H1000 in the place

We just ordered lunch at Chubbys, then a stop for pie & fruit finish up the trip.

Had a nice time at the show. Not to crowded and everyone was playing nice.
What I saw that interested me.
8lbs of varget for $275, not to bad considering. I passed as I have enough at this time.
Colt blue 6" barrel, looked like new in the box, $3500, I need to sell a kidney
    Colt AR15SP1, $2000
    Colt AR15A2 , $1900

Could not make a deal on either, Bought pmags and called it a day

Got depressed while there. I arrived around 10:50. Too many older peeps barely able to walk and those who sat near the men's room complaining about everything that ailed them Made me feel Like I was at Seizure World. Some younger folks. A lot of brothas gobbling up the 80% and even face timing friends to see if that was what they wanted. Very high prices for the few things I was considering. I want a Springfield Ronin 1911 45. I saw one at the last Chantilly show overpriced but still aroung $789. Gettysburg vendor had one in 9MM for $999?! huh? Also, an SDS 1911A1 was about $80 more than online. I did end up with two pieces of pizza and a diet pepsi. Even the EZ 380s for which I was looking were overpriced. Oh, well.

    Just left.

Lots of everything available, didn't see any firearms I wanted (my want list is growing short, surprisingly).

The big surprise for me was the lack of people attending compared to other shows just a couple of months ago. The parking lot was less than half full when I arrived at 2-ish. I spoke to several vendors who said it had been relatively slow all day, with a slight peak around 10am. Maybe everyone is out enjoying the summer weather.

Bought some parts and a magazine. Gettysburg Trading Post is open until 6, maybe I'll see something interesting there....

Sorry I missed you. I had no issue parking right next to the place. It was crowded but no lines getting in. I almost pulled the trigger on a Henry 22lr lever action. The guy back right wanted $545. Seemed high to me. One younger gent got one and his friend told me the vendor had a couple more.

They are fully stocked with shooty things, especially the handgun cases.

I saw FN509's (bring $$), Sig P320s (optic ready), a small assortment of CZs, lots of Glocks, 1911s, Steyrs, IWI (I think) pistols, S&Ws, Berettas, a couple of Zastava M70s, and if you're looking for cheap classic Sigs they had a handfull of LE trade in P226s in 9mm for $499.

I have asked in the past and they were willing to ship to an FFL in Maryland

Lots of shotguns and a handful of hunting rifles.

Cases of 9mm and .40 but very pricy.

My favorite find there today was some Yugo 8mm ammo for $8 per 15 round box. Even before the crazy ammo prices that wouldn't have been too bad of a deal in recent years.

I picked up some SA26 accessories so it was worth going. I also ran into Dan, Dan the Police Man which was a nice surprise.

I picked up a box of 12ga 00. 120 rds for $100 bucks not a bad price with all things being with pricing right now!

A couple of standard capacity magazines!

As mentioned, vendors were saying it had been slow today. I parked at front door almost at 1130hrs!
