St Michael's is really a maritime experience, and one of those cool places you need to go at least once. Tilghman Island didn't really offer much, save for understanding where MOST of the bay crabs come from. ;)

I sailed there once, heap big lots of fun, and great to be in the center of the town.

It is essentially Maryland specific history, shopping and dining.

Call to see if the car ferry between oxford and royal oak is running. If so, derour to oford and take the ferry across. Oldest in us. Continue to st michaels. Robert morris inn in oxford at the ferry was good, but havent been for 20 yrs, if still there. Main st st michaels good for strolling. And resturants around the harbor a couple of blocks. Inn at perry cabin very nice accommodations. And a nice poster shop on main. Have fun.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe the ferry is operating anymore.

I live outside of Easton, so I get there often (though we try to avoid it on the weekends during summertime).

Crab Claw has the location on the water. Full menu, but the food is always underwhelming (in my opinion). Also the outdoor section is generally loud and packed with boaters/tourists.. which some people love, some don't.

Foxy's is across the water from Crab Claw. Much smaller and quieter, so it can be hard to get seating during prime hours. They have a limited menu, but they do a good job with what they do serve.

My favorite place to eat in Town is Awful Arthurs on the main drag. Not a huge menu, but everything is well done. They have outdoor seating as well.

Also, the grounds at Perry Cabin are amazing. It's a good place to walk to, get a drink from the bar and enjoy it outside on their beautiful waterfront lawn.

    Thanks for the recommendations guys.

Steamers and beer at Crab Claw for lunch. Maritime Museum was a nice treat. Enjoyed some rum and wine tasting. Dinner at Stars in Perry Cabin was classy and the Mrs and I really enjoyed it.

If you decide to return sometime, consider Watermark Cruises from Annapolis. Plesant cross bay ride to St Michaels.

Thanks for all the memories. Used to spend time at a friends farm back in when I was in High School. Anyone local over there familiar with Smith Point Farm? Looking at a map I think it was near Bozmzn. 50 years ago it was the largest hog farm in MD. I remember taking the ferry to Oxford to eat at the Robert Morris Inn, Back then the Crab Claw was nothing more than a crab shack. I also remember a pretty good restaurant right at the bridge to Tilghman Island. I need to get back over that way one day.
