Not sure where this came from, but Ted Deutch is from Florida, not Massachusetts.

The thing that's really got the antis riled up is the idea that guns can be manufactured that a) the government doesn't know about because they're not manufactured by a recording keeping company AND b) they can be produced without a serial number.

They're giving way too much credibility to the idea that somehow all guns can be traced.

Both of which are already legal........

Except none of those states actually ban possession or dissemination that information. I have a feeling a lot of AGs are going to be paying damages to DD. How can a RO be issued against a lawful, and constitutionally protected (1A), act?

+10 or +22 however many states are suing to deny DD their 1st Amendment rights

From the suit against the first two attempting to ban DD civil rights:
    10. Actual damages in an amount according to proof at trial;
    11. Attorney fees and costs pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1988; and
    12. Any other further relief as the Court deems just and appropriate

I think Cody Wilson will tear down the wall and get the states to pay for doing it.:D

    PrinceLaw on PA's lawsuit:
As you can see from the Complaint, Governor Wolf and Attorney General Shapiro make multiple false statements about both the factual background (e.g. that the Defense Distributed “provide guns to residents of the Commonwealth”) and the law (e.g. that electronic data constitutes a firearm and that the UFA or GCA regulate data). More importantly, there are numerous ways to challenge this action, including my hope that Defense Distributed, et al., files a counterclaim under 42 U.S.C. §§ 1983, 1988 for violation of their constitutional rights and that Governor Wolf and AG Shapiro can explain to the residents of the Commonwealth, why the taxpayers have been hit with a several hundred thousand dollar attorney fee award.

This is getting really ridiculous. States trying to control what the fed can and cannot do.

This whole lawsuit is other-worldly. The files are already out there, and have been for years. As I noted in my Ruger 10/22 3D printed receiver build, they work (albeit often with some serious post-processing). All DefDist can really do now is hand out the files for the Ghost Gunner freely, which is nice, but not such a big deal.

And our esteemed AG, Brian Frosh, reverting back to his 60's roots, brags about wasting our money on a lawsuit that fails to recognize the U.S. Constitution.

Attorney General Frosh Files Suit to Prevent Distribution of
    Files for 3-D Printed Firearms

BALTIMORE, MD (July 30, 2018) – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh will join a multistate lawsuit to block a Trump Administration action that gives criminals and terrorists access to downloadable, untraceable and undetectable 3D-printed weapons. In an abrupt reversal, the federal government settled the case against Defense Distributed on June 29, 2018, an organization dedicated to global distribution of open-source, downloadable 3D-printed guns. As part of the settlement, the Trump Administration will allow the downloadable guns for unlimited public distribution in any form.

“Through this settlement, our federal government is allowing anyone armed with a computer and a printer to make and distribute guns, jeopardizing the safety of all Americans” said Attorney General Frosh. “This action demonstrates reckless disregard for public safety and national security.”

Got this earlier. Knives are out for them. States throwing lawsuits. DDOS attacks constantly in the last day.

Why doesn't Frosh bring a lawsuit against those who post CAD plans for pressure cooker bombs?

The bombs that have proved to kill and maim hundreds of people while 3D guns have not killed anyone?

I can smell the hypocrisy from here in the Gulag.

President Trump has weighed in on American citizens being able to download computer programs in order to produce 3-D printed lower receivers.
