shadow hawk is hosting the uspsa delmarva section match. below hagerstown and above winchester, off I-81 at the inwood, wv exit. shoot either day - fri, sat or sun, spots open each day.

great chance to get a little bigger match in, locally. looks like 11-12 stages.

signup offers a "U" classification so i don't think you need to be classified. while this game has rules just like all the others, keep your muzzle pointed downrange (including while reloading, moving, fixing a jam, etc) and finger outside the trigger guard unless actually shooting and you should get thru the whole match.

at $145 it ain't cheap, but do take into account it has twice the stages of most local matches.

also, i believe they are still looking for some help. you can shoot friday for free if you help out sat and sun, but call or email them to make sure of the details.

I'll be there Saturday. Not working because I just worked the Virginia State match.

I'm signed up. Any tips on how to survive this? The biggest match I've shot so far is the monthly Fredericksburg USPSA match (8 stages).

it'll be similar to fburg in terms of stage complexity, couple more stages. liquids, snacks, rain gear, clear and dark eyepro, clothing layers. they have benches at most if not all stages.

btw, missing peacemaker's 3 gun match yesterday was costly for you, you got drawn on a devil dogs handgun!

Work interfered, so I missed out. Again. I shot Steel Challenge today at Quantico, what a miserable experience. I somehow managed to not put mags in the case so no PCC. I shot poorly with my Mark IV. I hope 600 rounds will be enough.

yeah i was thinking about doing a match today but super glad i didn't sign up for anything, cold + rain = not fun.

match should be 11-12 stages, at the max round count per uspsa stage of 32, will be 350-400, so 600 should be good if you miss a little or have to reshoot a stage.

if you live a ways from shadow hawk, might want to consider staying at a hotel near(er) the match the night before, just to avoid the hassle/stress of getting up early, traffic, etc. and/or it will let you get there earlier to walk stages, get your stuff ready, etc.

It's about the same distance from me to peacemaker so I'm thinking a hotel Friday night. I'm going to pack everything Thursday night so I don't forget anything.
