It took 2 friends of mine over 6 months to get in touch with this guy. He is the only Ft Knox dealer in the region. One finally got a couple safes from him, the other gave up.

I had a similar experience with this guy several years ago when I was in the market for a safe. I gave up after a month of unreturned messages after meeting him at the Nations Gun show.

I had the same bad experience with steve's safes.

On the bright side I scored a nice find on a Henry Evil Roy in .22LR. It's my first lever gun!

Great show. I spent a few hours walking around checking out all of the exhibitors. Prices were down from the January 2016 mark. Plenty of .22LR in the 7/8 cent range (CCI, Winchester SuperX, AE).

Yugo BHO AK mags $13, USGI 30rd mags w/ tan follower $8, and lots of other stuff.

Got everything I was looking for at a good price - except a Whitney Wolverine. But I would have fainted had I seen [the price on] one there...

    WOLVERINES!

Neat pistols (the original, not the Olympic plastic crap).
Gone are the days of picking one up for $400-500 unfortunately.

I've been watching the ones on GB. There was an excellant example, only a couple of small marks, go for about $1200. I can only imagine what it would have gone for had it had "Wolverine" on the side...

Enjoyed the show very much...got most
of what I needed...ran out of time and
cash. Was very struck by the very civil
    attitude of everyone there...and also
by how incredibly diverse was the crowd!
Great to see our passion spreading.

    This.

Black, white, Asian, Middle Eastern, young, old, families...

And there was most definitely an optimistic vibe in the crowd.

I noticed the same thing. A guy in his car waved us past him at an intersection, and another guy gave us the thumbs up and waved us down so we could have his parking spot. Back in the panic days, it was every man for himself, bubbas would be running through the parking lot to get to the back of the line going into the show.

People were in good spirits this time around. I loved it.

I saw a Muslim couple with the lady in
a birkha, numerous Asian and Black
folks (some with some serious dreds)...
and, they had almost all made
    purchases and were still shopping!
Really great to see...the broader the
    public participation in responsible and
    informed firearms ownership, the better
for us ALL, and for our nation.

    Let's be especially welcoming and
    helpful when we come across
ANY folks at the range or a show or
shop who may need a little assistance.
Obviously, that is not a leap for us
since in my experience some of the
    most pleasant and generous folks
I meet are at the next position over
at the range - they sure seem to
regularly take pity on this old fat guy!

Was there any change in what was being offered for sale? I noticed the Richmond show, a week and a half ago, had a lot more non-AR/AK/Glock stuff than I was accustomed to seeing.

Good show, finally tracked down some Sig P230 mags at one of the last vendors I checked in the additional display space. Those things are HARD to find. Nobody else there had them.

I thought there was a great variety in
    used firearms...which is my preference.
Old guns are like old dogs...they all
need a good home and a lot of love,
    ANC will show their appreciation.

I thought the Pmags were generally overpriced, some ridiculously so,
Even for Gen 2 stuff....and there were
far more Ak than Ar mags around from
what I noticed...an not an Ak guy, but
their accessories and doo dads seemed
    to be in great abundance.

Ammo prices certainly seemed a bit
lower at some vendors, with better
variety...and in some cases even beat
some of the better online prices - even more so when you take shipping into account...did some price comparisons
standing there with my smart phone.

I didnt quite get to the point of buying
pickles, but almost!!! I am a native
NYer and I know really good pickles.
But, hey, what they had did look
good...even better after a few hours
    wandering around the show.

    Oh, the humanity!!!

Did you hear that they had the world's largest pickle there?

It was a really big dill!!

I checked out the new addition last. That guy had Marlin 795 after market mags - when no one know what I was talkin' about, he nonchalantly pointed to a bin - there were at least 5.

However, his CZ82/83 mags were new CZ-USA prices which means $$$. I managed to track down one mag. from another vendor for a reasonable price.

I did not see a Marlin in .357...probably
a good thing since that pesky mortgage
bill needs to get paid again this month.

Really liked a Sig 225A1 I found lying
around. But, I gotta take the HQL
    class first...again, I guess a good
    enforced reality check on finances.

In any case, I thought it was a good
show! And, I found a GREAT Korean
restaurant just up Route 50. But, I
guess I did miss out on not seeing
    the World's largest pickle...
