Well, about every other thing has a category, I can't think of a reason why there wouldn't be one for optics.

I asked awhile back. Mods think it would to many sub-forums. Strange that a shooting forum has a knife category,but not one for optics?

Agree... there definitely should be a Optics category.
The topic comes up constantly and is scattered between the Depot and the Rifles.
I'm currently looking for three different optics. So, yeah, I'm like reading about optics. An optic for a shotgun, or the semi auto sniper rifle, or the AR heavy, or the .22 takedown needs different kinds of chat. So I'm thinking sub-forums in the gun categories would be best. But how many people talk about their optics beyond, this was on sale?

There is a huge discussion on service rifle optics over on the USRifleteams.com national match forum. They have descriptions, reviews, suggestions, etc.. Even someone from NightForce is involved in the topic.

It tends to be so firearm specific that I think it gets covered in other categories, but I ain't no mod.
Yep. Exactly why "The Depot" catch-all forum works well as is. Would rather we keep it that way instead of creating so many sub-forums that we lose sight of the primary goal: bringing MD 2A supporters together. More and more sub-forums will tend to split us into sub-communities with little or no interaction.
