What's wrong with the compressor?

Apparently the compressor and the clutch/drive mechanism has gone bad. So he got a replacement compressor with clutch. That’s all the info I have at the moment.

If the compressor has "locked up" it will also need a dryer and condenser replacement.

Apparently it was the clutch that locked up/burned out.
