I saw your old setup. Jealous.

I am working my way towards organization. I have a plan for cabinets. Shelving (well, more shelving). Bins. A wall of tray/bin holders.
My bench as you saw it no longer exists as it was....

There are bread racks with bins on them. I kinda went overboard on the OCD organization for components.

The bench is somewhat organized though.

I'm too embarrased to post mine

So, this morning I went through looking for the bench that I would give the prize for most clutter on an MDS member's bench.

I think this one deserves strong consideration:

    https://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?98916&p=2011231#post2011231

The tilted container of WW296 sealed the deal for me. To the bench owner: Sir, I like how you think.

I'm still working on the original clutter look that I had perfected, but it's not there yet. I need to do some loading today, and that will put the finishing touches on it.

My father's new barrel is SUPER fast and still trying to get a load to shoot in a respective speed range. Last weekend we found a powder charge and today we played with seating depths.

Found one that is decent and decided to play with the barrel tuner. I was amazed how much the POI changed with a few twists. It changes harmonics a LOT.

The +2, +4 notes correlate to the marks on the tuner. You can see vertical shifts and horizontal shifts through out the settings.

This has been me. Started with 10gal of .223 that became 5gal of processed .223 and 4gal of 300BLK. I’m about 3gal through swaging, my motivation level wanes until I’m reminded of the price of Ammo and the civil unrest

Finished prepping 8K cases in 4 calibers this (wet) weekend, including 4K that needed swaging, and 6K that got primed. All the powder and projectiles are organized and moving forward I should be finishing a few hundred each evening that I'm able to work on them..

    2K .223 greentips
    2K 9mm 124gr plated RN
    1K 357sig 124gr FMJ
    1K 357sig 147gr FMJ
    1K 300BLK 147gr FMJ
    1K 300BLK 130gr HPBT

Hopefully they'll all be filled by Nov 3.. :innocent0

I got 50 rounds of 32acp loaded up yesterday that have been sitting on my bench primed and waiting for powder and bullets for the last 2 weeks.

Hoping to work up a 30 carbine load this week before I get back to the range.

Almost filled up what was an empty 30 cal can this morning. Did the work before office hour, while listening to Zoom meetings, during lunch and after work. Had to prep and prime 200 cases also. I did not count but I have at least 500 rounds there of mt plinking load using H355 & 55gr bulk fmj pills.

Nice  I just finished up my second ammo can of 700 rounds plinking loads using CFE223 and 55gr bulk. One more can and then I can switch over and start the cans of 300blk..

Technically a couple days ago, but loaded up 21 rounds of 30 carbine (opps, miscounted). Working up my first carbine load. Looks like my carbine likes 14.5gr of H110. 1861fps and 13fps SD for a 6 shot group (loaded the extra in that one). Chrono wasn’t very level though, so it was probably closer to 1900-1930fps actual if I were to take a guess. 14.7 netted me 1893fps, with actual again probably 40-70fps higher. But SD was about 25fps. Forgot my stapler so I was shooting at a used target, so no idea what was actually more accurate.

Not going to go nuts until I can check accuracy, but I’ll probably try to load up 50 rounds at 14.5gr this weekend if I can squeeze in the time before switching over to 9mm and going to town on loading up a few hundred rounds.

Recently added .45 ACP to what I load. Just finished prepping 500 once fired brass cases in anticipation of a bullet order being filled in the next couple of weeks.

Picked up an RCBS Quick Change Case Holder and would recommend it to anyone with arthritis in their hands. Made a huge difference on how much I was able to do at one time and saved me from the usual pain and numbness I get from doing initial case preparation.

Made my first batch of 50 45acp. 5.3gr Unique, max OAL, 230gr bullets PXL_20201009_204433295.jpg

ETA: now I understand what all the old guys are bitching about when they complain about SPP cases getting into the mix. Maybe like a quarter of the range pickup cases were SPP, and while I caught most on first examination, a couple slipped by.

Added a case feeder... the case feeder blocked out the overhead light, so I added some led strip lighting under the cabinets. Case feeder was missing one piece. So now I’m waiting for that to come in.

Took the plunge and annealed 125 pieces of 8x57 PPU brass with a blow torch. Did the "twirl in your finger for a few seconds" method and low and behold, the brass came out fine. Resized much easier and didn't show any issues when fired. Brass is so hard to find recently that I decided to do this little experiment. So far so good!

If you do it in a dark room, you can see when the neck starts to get dull red. Drop it in water or towel ( either will work but the water keeps them from getting bent).

That's exactly what I did. Turned off the lights and as soon as the neck turned dull I dropped it in a bucket of water. Might have let a couple go too long, but it didn't seem to impact accuracy or case life (yet)
