I've had the pleasure of shooting a fellow-MDS member's and it's pretty nice as long as you're not expecting sub-MOA accuracy. To be fair, we weren't exactly observing the normal sight-in protocols. We weren't waiting for the barrel cool-down between shot strings and we were shooting a mixed-bag of ammo brands.
Our best five-shot groups averaged in the 1.5-2" range at 100 yards. Otherwise, it's lightweight and fast handling. Would probably make a good heavy brush rifle for anyone looking to replace their aging lever-action 30-30.
These are 50 yard, POI/sight-in targets with an extremely hot barrel. I believe we were shooting both steel-cased Silver Bear, brass-cased Golden Bear and some match grade Wolf ammo for testing purposes. Owner's groups are on the top row. My groups are on the bottom set of targets.
